Ms. Letty Rising

Education Consultant, Trainer, Coach and Mentor

Ms. Rising is an American self-employed education consultant based in California, USA. She has been supporting the development of schools and providing necessary training in this role for the past eight years. Her experiences in education extends over 17 years when she first worked as Curriculum Develop/Workshop Facilitator for Cal Poly University in California; these including Montessori Elementary and Secondary Education Program Advisor of Maya Education in Hanoi, Vietnam, Head of School/Montessori Coordinator for LePort Schools in California, and Regional Manager/Education Facilitator at Dehesa Charter School in California. She was also a Principal in the San Francisco Unified School District.

Letty has a Master of Education in Montessori Teacher Education (Elementary) from Loloya University, Maryland, and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of California. She has also been granted with a multiple subject teaching credential from the California State University-San Marcos.

Letty’s passion and expertise lay in the areas of new school development, teacher training, parent education, organizational management, homeschool education, teacher mentoring and coaching, and facilitating professional development opportunities (in-person and webinar development) for schools and organizations educating children from infancy through adolescence. While her main areas of concentration have been in Montessori and homeschool education, she is also intrigued with various holistic educational approaches such as Reggio Emilia, eco-education, project-based learning, and place-based education.

Ms. Rising presently volunteers as a Moderator for the Montessori Teachers Group (Facebook), an international discussion page and online social meeting space for professional Montessori educators, as well as Board Member and Education Advisor for Moonflower Montessori in rural SW Virginia, an organization dedicated to offering authentic, high-quality Montessori education to the local community.
